Tomorrow, May 25th, 2018, is the day the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in EU becomes in effect.

Even though this is an EU policy, it globally sets a new bar for user data protection. The original EU legislation (the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive) only governed entities within the EU. However, the sheer scope of the GDPR is far more extensive in that it also refers to non-EU businesses who either, A) market products to people in the EU or who, B) monitor the behavior of people in the EU.

As a cybersecurity company, we fully understand the importance of data protection. That’s why the team at SEWORKS has been working hard to make sure we provide highly advanced data protection.

How SEWORKS Is GDPR Compliant

SEWORKS is a data controller because we directly process data from our website and sign-ups. To protect our user data, we do not share our user information with any third-party organizations.

We also updated our Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which specifies our terms on data processing to meet GDPR requirements. This is available for our customers upon request.

Moreover, we updated our general privacy policies and terms to ensure we have proper measures to protect our users.

In addition, our internal security team is determined to maintain and improve our internal security framework.

We will continue sharing new updates and information. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out at contact@se.works. Cheers to security.
